- ovarian cyst - removed carefully as I was just about to begin IVF / preserved the ovary
- removal of ovaries - one at a time of course, just to be difficult -one from a cyst, one from adhesions
- several operations to divide adhesions, originally caused by the appendicitis - esp the one where adhedsions looped up part of my bowel - ICCKY!!
- oh..and the piece de resistance - almost died from a ruptured appendix on CHRISTMAS NIGHT - 1972 (what a time for a 10 year old to get sick, sheesh!)
Aropax (Paxil). Currently at 13mg and holding.
Added Endep (amitrypline) 12.5 for sleep - 11 July 2013

before meds, i had nothing, even do not know i had a stomac, today is not the same(if i would ask a doctor, he would say it is my age)
12 years paxil(9 years only 10 mg) - cold turkey(1,5 month) and switch celexa tapered 1 year 20 mg
62 years old - for GAD - 4 years 3 months meds free [since april 2009]
vegetables soup - orange (vit C) - curcuma - some meat or fish
I had some horrible stomach issues even before the meds. I think i had IBS, but what I have now is on a league of its own...
No stomach problems before taking meds.
Severe anxiety since childhood .SSRIs for OCD.
Major traumatism in my life:Prozac during short periods.
Deroxat (=Paxil) during 7 years.
Three unsuccessful atempts to quit.
Deroxat free since may 2008 (Cold turkey )
none for me either.
I've traveled in the developing world a lot, and my stomach got bad on several trips, but always recovered, until I spent a year in Bolivia in my 20s. My stomach was never quite the same after that. I did have some tests done and no parasites were found, but it sure seems like something got started there. It seemed to evolve into a kind of IBS.
Meds free since June 2005.

So, just to follow up – it sounds like many people did not have GI tract issues before meds, but that just about everyone has had issues since meds.
Is there anyone who has *not* had GI tract problems (ranging anywhere along that tract from top to bottom) during w/d?
