Acupuncture and homeopathy but without significant effects while before the wd I was very satisfied with these treatments.
Severe anxiety since childhood .SSRIs for OCD.
Major traumatism in my life:Prozac during short periods.

Meds free since June 2005.
"An initiation into shamanic healing means a devaluation of all values, an overturning of the profane world, a peeling away of inveterate handed-down notions of the world, liberation from everything preconceived. For that reason, shamanism is closely connected with suffering. One must suffer the disintegration of one's own system of thought in order to perceive a new world in the higher space."

Im too scared to try anything. Im scared it makes things much worse... But i need to start something soon.
Needinghelp, please remember, there's *no* pressure to do it. The best cure/treatment for WD is time. Do not do anything drastic with any of the treatments mentioned, the more so as what many of us voted for here also applies to our pre-WD/pre-drug state. What is most important for you body right now, is, actually, *not* introducing major changes into your life schedule (treatments, diets, exhaustive physical exertion, etc). Your body needs to stay calm in this respect.

NH, Just by going to work everyday is enough, Dr Healy thinks that the best thing we can do is gentle exercise and to engage in mentally active activities I think goig to work DEFFO covers that.
I walk to the shops and back everyday and walk to get my son from school, I probably walk just over 2 miles per day, (and some of that Im carrying heavy shopping) I think thats enough exercise for me for now.
I dont meditate 'as such' but I have my mantras that I have mentioned
Iam safe....I am warm...I am comfortable...I am calm
I guess this is more affirmations
Put on citalopram July 2009 during a physical illness - didnt need it. 40mg
went down to 20mg July 2010 CT in Jan 2012 - 2.5 years on.
Tried to restart July 2012 due to 1 panic attack (never had one before - start of CT W/D) - adverse reaction
Down to 1.5mg from the failed RI
Now at 0.48 and trying to stabalize - been 6 weeks
now have SEVERE anxiety, akathsia, feel like Im on acid 24/7 depression, D/P, signed off work. Scared of everything..please God let me heal from this
Yes, they're affirmations, but I think they definitely qualify as a meditation technique also.
