Many people do not experience windows (or very rare) until 3-4 years off. SO Stan I think you are heading for the right direction. I am over 5 years now, still have waves but in many senses do way better than at the 3 years mark.
Recovering from the ravages of withdrawal after 5 years on Paxil/Seroxat, originally prescribed for stress and, looking backward, PTSS.
Though it is hardly possible to get something positive from the utter hell of repeated c/t's and protracted w/d, all of this unnecessary, I still believe in the possiblity to emerge from this as a healed, wiser human being.

Suerly those people are there. For me it took a long long while to feel a bit better. Stan is now on the road for more than 3 years too. In fact I had a nice window after 19 months, lasting 2 weeks or so, just to enter a wave again. I really do not want to discourage you, just want to tell that it CAN take a long time to feel better, especially after a CT. Of course I do not know to which group you belong.
And as far as I read, from the people who get protracted WD (not everybody does), not many of them are recovered after 18 months. But that surely does not mean that recovery won't come.

18 months for recovery is extremely rare in my opinion.

Absolutely not, Iggy! The windows may in some cases start appearing quite soon after coming off of drugs. Also, 3-4 years after the last dose (even in the case of cold-turkey and/or poly-drugged and/or long-termers - you are already in a much much better state than in early WD, plus quite many of the not-long-termers/those suffering adverse reaction may already be healed by that point).

You and Needinghelp are NOT even very long-termers! You will be healing. It will not, I repeat - IT WILL NOT take you 3-4 years to get better, to feel better, to have faaaar fewer and incomparably less intense symptoms than you are experiencing now in the worst stage of it, which is early WD.

Of course, in certain circumstances, healing takes longer than in others. There's no doubt about it. Some of us on this board know it all too well, and the last thing we would do is to deny it - this forum was, in fact, created to *not deny it* any more. I myself was banned from some other place for speaking the truth. But, again, by 3-4 years mark the improvement *does* happen, even in the worst case scenarios.

You are healing all the time. You will heal. I am sending you, folks, lots of energy for the window to open as soon as possible.
