about the shower, since my tapering, i cannot go under a shower, the perceptions are very bad, so i have to wash me with hand clothe;
as you say, the akathisia is better some time, but comes always back strong;
we have not reached the point that others say "linear improvements";

i do not plan also, i have only read that some had it 7 years, i cannot imagine when i will no more have this akathisia, what a pleasure to stand quiet!
our goal is to be as a child: eat, walk,cry,run, laugh just normally

time will repair, ok, but my time is becoming shorter and shorter, soon 61!!!

Stan,

like you, I could not take a shower for a very, very long time due to vestibular problems as well as CNS overstimulatory effects (anxiety) as well as akathisia.

Recently, I have been able to take a shower )some days) rather than a bath but can only do so in the evening as long as I don't linger too long in the shower. (lol) If I try to take a shower early in the day, I experience CNS over-stimulation.

Just want to let you know that you will eventually be able to handle taking a shower.

I understand that the older one's age.... the scarier things become since, it's not as if one has 30 more good years ahead. But it's better that you got off these drugs at this age than at age 70 or 80. I can't imagine having to go through WD at such an advanced age.

You will have some very good years ahead of you. Hopefully, we will soon arrive at the "linear stage" of WD, as you mentioned in one of your posts.

May Linear WD and Sensationally Shower Filled Days Soon Arrive,

Samsara
