    IAWP News

    On our main website; http://antidepressantwithdrawal.info...troduction.php we added the Bookstore – just above the “Forum” button. When you click on it, it will take you to the custom-made Amazon bookstore. In one place, we have collected books we think are really worth reading. So far there are several of those about Big Pharma/drugs/the truth about contemporary medicine. Authors; Robert Whitaker, Dr. Peter Breggin, Dr. David Healy, John Abramson, and others. We will be also adding more books on the well-being, spirituality, self-help, etc.

    In the days to come, we will be opening a new sub-forum called “Alternative Healing Methods”, in which you will be able to specifically discuss different ways of alleviating the WD syndrome; diet/supplements, exercise, acupuncture, meditation, Vitamin C, Omega-3, etc. You are very welcome to share your knowledge and experience with others. There is always a possibility of creating more such threads. Any suggestions can be posted in the sticky “Introduction to Alternatives” in the “Alternative Healing Methods” sub-forum on top.

    In the wake of this, the current name of “Symptoms and Relief” sub-forum will soon be changed into “Coping with Withdrawal”.

    Hey, folks! There have been some problems with posting in the "Alternatives" forum - I just fixed the glitch, and I hope it's going to work now. If there were still any problems, please let us know.

    As we all can see, IAWP has grown by leaps and bounds in recent time. More people are visiting both the forum and Sheila’s blog, more people are watching our Youtube videos. The project that started from basically a single sentence on our website not even 18 months ago has transformed itself into something much much bigger. This has been especially visible in the number of posts on the forum. In the last two weeks, those, first doubled, then tripled. Thus the time has come to introduce to you our first Moderator – Annie, who (and this is very important) will be from now on using her real name – Chris.

    With Annie’s (Chris) help, we will be able to help everyone on the board even better than before. She has proved to not only have extensive general knowledge, but she is a very compassionate person, eager to help those that need it most now. It is of crucial importance on the forum like ours. Welcome aboard, Chris!

    As we already pointed out in our previous postings, the IAWP growth is not stopping for a moment these days. Today, we are starting a new sub-forum - “French cafè”. By creating it, we hope to be able to help even more people suffering from both WD and the side-effects of antidepressants. We would also like to introduce our French cafè moderator – Cosette. We think she is a very good choice, having all the necessary skills needed for such a position. Thank you, Cosette, for your accepting the moderatorship. We wish you good luck! And, of course, we will be helping you in the French cafè, too!

    Dear forum members, we have two important announcements to make;

    - let us welcome the new IAWP moderator - Parox, a person of a compassionate heart, always so active and eager to help those who are in need. She will be moderating all the forums.

    Thank you for all the fantastic work you are doing, Parox, and good luck!

    - due to experiencing WD-related problems and the need to focus on the taper, Chris, one of the IAWP moderators, had to withdraw from the forum's activities. We all wish her a quick recovery.

    We would like to introduce the new IAWP moderator - Claudius. He will be moderating the Dutch Café, which is currently under construction. By adding more cafés to the forum we hope to reach more and more people, inform them about the dangers of ADs and help them on their way to recovery, and, last but not least, create the critical mass of change that will allow us to build something much much better in place of the current dysfunctional medical system. All your actions count, IAWP-ers. Together, working in the lockstep, in the synergy of hearts, we are able to achieve the Unbelievable.

    Congratulations, Claudius! We wish you good luck and thank you for your joining the IAWP team, the more so as you yourself are still in the process of healing. Your knowledge of WD will help tremendously those who are suffering now.

    Let us keep growing!

    Mobile app for IAWP

    It is now possible to access the IAWP in a format that works more easily on smartphones. If you access the forum from a smartphone, you will automatically see the mobile format.

    However, you can also access the mobile format whenever you wish by going to the lower left of the forum and selecting “Mobile Style.” You might want to select this format if you are using a tablet.
