    my feelings of loss of self

    this explains my feeling of loss, of my spirit and myself, such a sad peom but explains the loss & emptiness that I feel everyday.

    Stop all the clocks, cut off the telephone,

    Prevent the dog from barking with a juicy bone.

    Silence the pianos and with muffled drum

    Bring out the coffin, let the mourners come.
    Let aeroplanes circle moaning overhead

    Scribbling on the sky the message He is Dead,

    Put crépe bows round the white necks of the public
    doves,

    Let the traffic policemen wear black cotton gloves.
    He was my North, my South, my East and West,

    My working week and my Sunday rest,

    My noon, my midnight, my talk, my song,

    I thought that love would last forever: I was wrong
    The stars are not wanted now, put out every one;

    Pack up the moon and dismantle the sun;

    Pour away the ocean and sweep up the wood.

    For nothing now can ever come to any good.

    Hey, Squirrel. I so know what you feel... I've been going through some rough days recently, too. It's good that you posted this poem - such venting of this absurd we are going through is sometimes very needed. I hope you will find some relief soon.

    Ah, squirrel, we are really being put through the wringer. No question about it. That’s a very powerful, evocative poem. Thanks for posting it. As Luc said, you are expressing yourself very well and that’s very good for you. I know – it doesn’t help immediately, but it *is* cumulative. Please keep expressing yourself here. I just know it will lead to good things.
    Meds free since June 2005.

    "An initiation into shamanic healing means a devaluation of all values, an overturning of the profane world, a peeling away of inveterate handed-down notions of the world, liberation from everything preconceived. For that reason, shamanism is closely connected with suffering. One must suffer the disintegration of one's own system of thought in order to perceive a new world in the higher space."

    That is very important, Cosette. The joy will be back eventually too.
