One typical example is those songs that you can't get out of your head. But typically it's much much more, basically everything - human faces, sounds, emotions, feelings. To give you an example - most of what I see/look at simply "burns" the image in my retina (though here the retina is more like a metaphor of what is in fact going on in my brain). It seems closely related to the ruminations about the past traumas phenomenon, etc. Beyond any doubt, our CNS has terrible problems with metabolising memories/experiences in the exact same way as it struggles on the more physiological level, when we're tired all the time, and in case of over-exertion we are barely able to bounce back. What is your experience?
