That sounds like a good reinstatement plan, Dan. Keep us updated.

I do not feel any worse reinstating 5mg so I will stick it out for a month or 2. If I ain't feeling worse is there a chance my body could accept the reinstatment and I could just stay on it and up the dose if i just take it slow? Or has too much damage been done.

If you're not feeling worse from the RI chances are you'll be fine. An adverse reaction is usually apparent quickly. Just be careful with the klonopin, don't take any more than you absolutely have to.

That’s great that the reinstatement is not making you feel worse!

Do you take the klonopin in a regular way or as needed?

Now, if this 5 mg reinstatement works, why would you want to up the dose? It’s your goal to get off these meds, right? So, we’re just trying to get you to a livable zone, stabilize a bit, and then taper down very slowly.

Yes, that electrical sensation and crawling is very common. They will get better.

in my experiece and from reading w/d forums pushing the med on your body and upping the dose would be a bad idea, I totally understand where you are coming from and I know how much you want there to be an easy answer and the hope that the drug will work again and you will be fine, but the reality is that your poor poor nervous system has taken a battering and you need to be very gentle on it, the adverse reaction at the higher doses was your body and brain rejecting the drug, and telling you it doesnt want it, but at a lower dose hopefully your major withdrawal symptoms will settle down and you will get into a more livable space.

one day you will fine and also drug free so you wont have fear hanging over you that this is all going to happen again.

stay at the 5mg and keep us updated, things should settle down and you can make the next desicion from there, one thing I have learned is that you cant plan ahead in this situation, you have to liseten to your body and brain and make desicions at the time depending on whats happening.

and I second what sheila said, those sensations are normal, try to not let them frighten you.

I am taking .05mg a day of klonopin, do you think this is hurting my recovery or should I try and taper that as well?
