way back in 2005 my absurd taper !

Just remembering how things were for me when I stopped. my doc's advice was. half it every 4 weeks she put me up to 30mg 3 months before i stopped.
    My Taper went like this,
was on 20mg for 8 years
    then 30mg for 2 months
back to 20 for 4 weeks
then down to 10 for 4 weeks
    Then 5 for 4 weeks
    Then I stopped.
When i look now at what everyone's taper schedule is like no wonder I crashed!

Sheesh, that was, indeed, a disastrous tapering schedule!

And way back in 2003-5, I took Prozac to “help” with the Paxil taper! That was another brilliant idea back in the dinosaur ages.
    Meds free since June 2005.

"An initiation into shamanic healing means a devaluation of all values, an overturning of the profane world, a peeling away of inveterate handed-down notions of the world, liberation from everything preconceived. For that reason, shamanism is closely connected with suffering. One must suffer the disintegration of one's own system of thought in order to perceive a new world in the higher space."

My doctor would do something similar (with a small difference of cutting it down by 50%, then stopping it altogether). WD always kicked in very quick, upon which she switched the drugs/upped the dose, added more drugs, etc. Oh boy...

The tapering was of course to much brutal,
why do they proceed this way? criminal, sado, moronic?
12 years paxil(9 years only 10 mg) - cold turkey(1,5 month) and switch celexa tapered 1 year 20 mg
62 years old - for GAD - 4 years 3 months meds free [since april 2009]

vegetables soup - orange (vit C) - curcuma - some meat or fish
