3 yrs off , numbness in leg, bad bladder, anyone else

Any of you guys who remembered me on paxilprogress know that my withdrawal was HORRENDOUS!!!! but i've strived on, and many things are much better, i can't believe how far i've come, I remember many of you guys and gals who sufferd right along with me at PAXILPROGRESS when i first joined it years ago, I will name some of you by your names here. STAN, COSSETTE, DENSTAR, LUC, and others may be here who've changed names from PAXILPROGRESS, for all you guys who helped me i'm truly grateful. But 2 things are still nagging me that i wonder if you guys have or have heard or noticed,

    1. numbness in my left leg, near the knee area. I have had this since before coming off zoloft years ago, it is a little better, but if i jog on it, it burns a little, almost like when you rub alcohol on a wound.

    2. CONSTANT PEEING!! if i drink soda forgot about it, my kidney can't hold anything long, it was way worse earlier in w/d but much better now, but still a nagging problem, I wondered if any of you have or had this problem in w/d, or have heard of this??

    Hi shane!!

although I am early in withdrawal myself I would like to reassure you that I have both of those symptoms so they are deffo a part of withdrawal.

the constant peeing is probably related to your dysautomnia and the numbness is very commen both in benzo and AD withdrawal.

its wonderful to hear that you HAVE seen improvemnts and there is no doubt that you will continue to improve.

cokes are also high in caffeine which is a diuretic. Id stay away from caffeine and sugar and maybe even add a kidney support formula or foods that support your system. A good healthy diet and putting in only good things in your body will go a long way.

I have the peeing problem too and a nnutritionist I work with recommended some things which seem to help. I guess, according to alternative med practitioners, this is a sign of various things. I am sure, though, that it is nothing serious and it is said that anxious people have this peeing issue. How is your anxiety level?
    2004: Effexor-150mg
    2006: switch to paxil-up to 40mg
2008: after paxil taper failed, went back on effexor-250mg
2009: quit effexor cold turkey. Switched to zoloft-100mg
2010: zoloft taper failed, switched to celexa-30mg
October 2011: tapered celexa in one week

Hi Shane – yup, those are two classic w/d symptoms that can hang around for awhile. But you will continue to heal.

For some reason, the vast majority of us have problems with our left legs. It will slowly get better. I’m glad you’re doing some exercise.

For that reason, shamanism is closely connected with suffering. One must suffer the disintegration of one's own system of thought in order to perceive a new world in the higher space."
