I slept better last night (my usual 6 hours). Back from my morning walk and feeling a bit better than yesterday. I need to make a point of posting on better days and not just the bad. Some symptoms I'd like to mention, not new but they were excelerated yesterday. My head feels like it's too full, like an overfilled balloon that could explode. Not pain exactly, but a very uncomfortable pressure, and a tenseness of my jaw and facial muscles that nothing can relax. Also extreme dryness, in my mouth, eyes and skin. No matter how much water I drink it doesn't help.

I've cut back to 1000mg omega 3's today just in case. Also luc and sheila, I just cut up enough valium for the next two weeks staying at my present dose, about 2.5 mg (1/4 pill before bed and 1/4 pill in the AM) My cuts are not exact but with the long half life one pill every two days should even out.

Thank you all for being there.

Very good idea. It will help you a lot. You will be able to read it every time the wave gets worse.
    Keep walking. Just keep walking.

I am so glad you slept better than the night before and feel a bit better today, Sally - it was great to read that!
2006 Rx'd Cymbalta for approx 1 yr. WD after 4 mos - didn't realize was WD,took Zoloft and Klonopin; tapered K. Spring 2012 experienced major WD symptoms while tapering Zoloft; tried to updose but no relief, back on K 1 mg. Switched over 5-6 mos from Zoloft to Citalopram. Finished Zoloft 1/13; now on Citalopram 35 mg and 1 mg Klonopin. Started to experience withdrawal symptoms from switch (?) approx. 3 months after finished Zoloft (4/13). Now at 35 mg and hoping to start slow taper

Howl and yowl and scowl away! ;)

And post on the better days, too!

I know that slowing your taper isn’t going to magically make everything better. It will still be very hard. But it’s worth it to decrease the intensity from awful to merely hard!

It is nearly impossible in the earlier part of w/d to discern what causes what. But you can learn somewhat from those who have gone before. Whatever you try supplement-wise, only change one thing at a time (that includes both adding and subtracting), go up or down in small increments and wait awhile after an increment. That gives you your best shot at identifying what helps and what hinders.

So, tell me, please, exactly how much EPA + DHA is in your pills (remember a serving might be more than one pill). And how many pills you’re now taking.

So often, the bottle says 1000 mg, but that means 1000 mg of fish oil. Then, in small print it says a different, smaller number for EPA + DHA. What does your bottle say on the back for the EPA and DHA?

My capsules are 1,250 mg fish oil, 1000 mg epa+dha per. I was taking 2 each day but this week went down to 1. I have some less powerful capsules and will start adding them back next week.

Today was another very bad day. It's now 3PM and it usually begins to improve about 4 or 5 but I haven't had a simicalm evening in two weeks. I think of myself as almost 14 months off paxil but in reality I did try zoloft and celexa for a month so It only been 11.5 months since I ceased all ssri drugs. I don't know if that means anything in terms of recovery, but likely there's a lot more suffering ahead.

My cousin just wrote that she is expecting her third grandchild. I honestly can't imagine ever being able to tolerate the presence of a small child. I can't even imagine being able to attend my son's wedding (fortunately there isn't one planned at this time). I spent 20 years as a florist and always assumed that when he married I'd be able to do the flowers and it makes me sad to realize that I likely won't be able to. Yesterday I was able to go to the grocery store but today I couldn't have managed it, so some days are better than others. Must hold onto that for hope.

    Hello Mona
Have you thought if some of your symptoms may be caused by decreased valium? Do you observe WD symptoms caused for the decrease of valium WD?
Symptoms may overlap WD valium / SSRI
    Just an opinion
