Amani, I have missed you ..I think of you, and wish that you are in a good place.
Standing in front of a wonderful open window ..
I am still struggling with symptoms, while trying to stabilize and start the Ativan taper ..I do get discouraged, as things are not easy to handle ..
Please write when you can ..
    Sending you love, biscotaki

yes, i know what you mean... we get discouraged when it takes a while to stabilize... and it is so so hard when our symptoms get worse after they were better for a while...in my case, even though this current wave is not nearly as bad as the ones i used to have, but still i was disappointed and discouraged when it came out of nowhere..
tell me though, are you still feeling better now than you felt 3 weeks ago? what are your worst symptoms now?
have been on antidepressants for more than 17 years.
Was on zoloft/sertraline 100mg for the last 2-3 years.
Tapered over 2.5 months, ending october 24 2012.
    reinstating AD:
march 28: started on 25mg sertraline, took it for 2 days
april 1: 12.5mg - only for one day
april 9: started on 2.5mg sertraline
april 17: increased to 5 mg

    Hi Amani,

I am sorry you experienced a set back after your recent window. I think it is a very good sign though that your current wave is not as bad as the ones you used to have. From all I have read, this is a sign things are improving and will get better and better - although they might not feel that way now.

    Hope you feel better soon,
    Shel.
2006 Rx'd Cymbalta for approx 1 yr. WD after 4 mos - didn't realize was WD,took Zoloft and Klonopin; tapered K. Spring 2012 experienced major WD symptoms while tapering Zoloft; tried to updose but no relief, back on K 1 mg. Switched over 5-6 mos from Zoloft to Citalopram. Finished Zoloft 1/13; now on Citalopram 35 mg and 1 mg Klonopin. Started to experience withdrawal symptoms from switch (?) approx. 3 months after finished Zoloft (4/13). Now at 35 mg and hoping to start slow taper

Hey, Amani! Good to see you. Yes, going back in the wave is a nasty nasty feeling. But it looks like you're improving nonetheless. Just a little bit more. You're doing great job. Stay bravely the course!
    Keep walking. Just keep walking.

Amani, like Shel says you are definitely healing ..:)
There some aspects to iron out, but you will ..:)
So please try not to get discouraged ..I know it is easier said than done. But by all accounts, it sounds like you are on the mend ..:)
Things here are pretty much the same ..I did see improvement to an extend, after the tweaking of doses.
I was able to get up and walk with a bit more ease. ..But my breathing issues are still here, which I think are related to Ativan.
Yesterday I started dosing with compounded liquid Ativan.
It is expected that symptoms will come up, as my body adopts to this change. When I get stable on this new change, than we will start the taper at 5% per month.
Please know that I think of you, and pray for your healing and well being.
Hang in there, and keep in touch when time permits.
    Sending you many hugs, biscotaki

    hey Bisco!!
thank you for your support and encouragement, as always..
so you started already with the liquid ativan? great, a first step before starting tapering... i really hope this does not make your symptoms worse, i mean, it should not, since you are on the same dose/schedule... hopefully this will go smooth and you can start tapering soon... great that you are going to do a 5% taper, but if you had to wait for more than a month after each decrease in dose, do it..... i know you can't wait to be off this drug but don't rush things.. better be safe and take it as slow as you can...and please keep me up updated...i really hope that your taper will be smooth..
