no, hes a scary case, very scary, I cant even think about him, his main symptom was intrusive thoughts, but I saw at 7 years he was feeling a little better, I dont know, ugh, I hate to think about him scares me to death....BUT he had a true adverse reaction, I also have to wonder if he had any issues before, he spoke about watching horror/slasher movies in the morning, ugh! no wonder he had violent thoughts!! also he took a sleeping pill that he said made things worse, was it lumesta or somthing?

we do have to remember that some people may have had real mental health issues before this, thats what I try to think of when I think about cases such as his.

    Good question, NH

For several days.., en my head round a similar question

Why doctors prescribe SSRI + benzo at the same time?, I did, or Bisco, and others ...

    Manual Asthon said:

" Benzodiazepines are known to decrease the activity of serotonin and norepinephrine (noradrenaline), neurotransmitters believed to be closely involved in depression. Antidepressant drugs including the selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs such as Prozac) are thought to act by increasing the activity of such neurotransmitters."

    I pose the following equation:

ISRS (increasing the activity of such neurotransmitters) + BENZO (decrease the activity of serotonin and norepinephrine) = X (serotonin)????

    or put another way:

    ISRS (+SEROTONIN) + BENZO (-SEROTONIN) = INCOGNITA (¿?)
    It seems truly absurd...

Just a thought, I continue mulling ..., lol

    Hugs

Shea really regretted taking the benzo. I would not say TTGW has recovered fast by any stretch of the imagination. And Amaya’s Nana declared herself recovered while she was still taking a benzo.

The only thing I think might be a reason to take a *mini-dose* of a med for if is you are sleeping *less* than four hours a night for a over two months straight. That makes a cul-de-sac from which it is hard to heal.
    Meds free since June 2005.

"An initiation into shamanic healing means a devaluation of all values, an overturning of the profane world, a peeling away of inveterate handed-down notions of the world, liberation from everything preconceived. For that reason, shamanism is closely connected with suffering. One must suffer the disintegration of one's own system of thought in order to perceive a new world in the higher space."

Who's Anthony Sadler? I tried to search but I couldn't find anything on any of the forums.. where do you guys dig up this stuff? The intrusive thoughts part just alarmed me because I had obsessive ruminating as a major WD symptom.
My experience with benzos was that if I took one it didn't do much, but if I took one before bed and one in the morning my symptoms (mainly DR,anxiety, anhedonia) were 80% better the next morning and day. I would never use except for emergencies if I had to be functional. Daily use I wouldn't consider never ever ever.. trade one poison for another. Also it's not an option unless you got $$$ and can convince a doctor to prescribe that much. In my country they dish out ssris like candy but are really stingy with benzos.
Ps. I know you're all thinking "who the hell is Moui??". so HIYA! I lurk here, post more on PP..
